Matthew Abel is the Deputy Director of Operations at Jurupa Community Services District (JCSD), bringing nearly two decades of experience with the agency. Mr. Abel leads the Operations Department and oversees critical functions, including water treatment, distribution, wastewater collections, water quality, and facility maintenance. Starting his career at JCSD in 2006, Mr. Abel has advanced through various roles, gaining extensive expertise in water systems and operations.
In addition to his experience, Mr. Abel holds several advanced certifications, including Water Treatment V, Water Distribution V, Advanced Water Treatment 3, and a Water Supply Technology Certificate from California State University, San Bernardino. These certifications and his hands-on experience enable him to ensure the efficient and reliable operation of JCSD’s water systems and lead JCSD’s largest department.
