Overview
All Non-Residential Users including, but not limited to: new build, tenant improvement, change of ownership, or change of business name are required by JCSD Ordinance, State, and Federal regulations to undergo a facility discharge review process alongside Development Engineering’s Plan Check process.
The Non-Residential Wastewater Questionnaire [NRWQ] must be submitted with JCSD’s standard-compliant plumbing plans for the interior of the property, and applicable exterior plumbing plans for interceptor or clarifier use. JCSD’s Development Engineering team will first review submissions for conformance with applicable Standards and the initial Equivalent Dwelling Unit [EDU] calculations before relaying them internally to Environmental Compliance for EDU verification. JCSD’s Finance & Administrative Services Department can help with any adjustments in EDU values, payments, or questions regarding these funds.
Once Environmental Compliance has reviewed the submission, there are several inspections which need to occur, and are dependent on the type of project proposed. All Users, however, will receive an initial site visit inspection in order to:
