How to Apply

Before you begin, apply for a reservation at www.SoCalWaterSmart.com

Once the reservation is complete, you have 180 days to complete the project and submit a rebate request.

Rebate Requirements

Plant three California Friendly plants per 100 sq. ft.

Include a stormwater retention feature.

Use permeable hardscapes that allow water to flow through the surface.

Replace overhead spray sprinklers with a drip or micro-spray irrigation system.

You must have existing turf. Dead or dying turf or areas with bare dirt will not qualify for a rebate.

Receive up to $5.00 for the first 1,000 sq. ft.

Earn an extra $100 per tree added to your project (5 trees max). One tree fulfills the 3 plant requirement.
