Jurupa Valley, CA (November 3, 2026) – Jurupa Community Services District (JCSD) has once again earned national reaccreditation through the Commission for Accreditation of Park and Recreation Agencies (CAPRA), reaffirming the District’s commitment to excellence in parks and recreation management, programming, and community services. JCSD was formally recognized during the recent National Recreation and Park Association’s (NRPA) Annual Conference held in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

JCSD is one of only eight parks and recreation agencies in California to hold this prestigious accreditation, the only national accreditation program for parks and recreation agencies. First accredited in 2015 and reaccredited in 2021, JCSD’s latest achievement reflects more than a decade of sustained excellence and adherence to nationally recognized industry standards.

CAPRA accreditation is awarded following a comprehensive evaluation of an agency’s operations, management practices, policies, and services. The rigorous process includes an independent peer review of 154 national standards. Accredited agencies must undergo reaccreditation every five years to demonstrate their continued commitment to operational excellence and continuous improvement.

“Earning national reaccreditation is a tremendous accomplishment that reflects the exceptional work our Parks and Recreation team delivers every day,” said JCSD Board Director Bart Moreno. “The Eastvale community deserves outstanding parks, facilities, and programs, and this recognition demonstrates our commitment to that goal.”

JCSD’s Parks & Recreation Department manages more than 250 acres of parkland, including 15 parks, community centers, sports facilities, and recreational amenities serving Eastvale residents. Guided by its mission, Community Through Connection, the Department provides diverse programs, activities, and community events designed to promote wellness and create meaningful experiences for residents of all ages.

“Maintaining CAPRA accreditation requires an ongoing commitment to excellence across every aspect of our operations,” said JCSD Parks & Recreation Director Steve Lawson. “This achievement reflects the dedication of our entire team. We are proud to uphold these standards while continually finding new ways to serve our community.”

The latest reaccreditation builds upon JCSD’s history of industry recognition, including numerous awards from the California Park & Recreation Society and the California Association of Recreation and Park Districts. Together, these achievements reinforce the District’s reputation for delivering the high-quality parks and recreation services.
