Jurupa Community Services District Employees Rally to Support Local Non-Profit Animal Shelter
Nearly $9,500 was raised by employees for the Mary S. Roberts Pet Adoption Center.
Jurupa Valley, CA (January 26, 2024) – In a demonstration of community spirit and generosity, the staff at Jurupa Community Services District (JCSD) has come together to support a local cause. Over the holiday season, the JCSD team worked together to help the Mary S. Roberts Pet Adoption Center (MSRPAC), an organization dedicated to humanely caring for pets.
Employees from JCSD hosted its annual silent auction with great success and staff participation, raising nearly $9,500 for MSRPAC. The auction was attributable to the kindness of JCSD employees and vendors who provided fantastic gift baskets. The following companies generously donated items: GM Sager, TK Construction, TecRefresh Inc, Fieldman, Rolapp & Assoc. Inc, Merlin Johnson, McCune & Associates.
This year’s fundraising efforts were the second time JCSD’s employees raised funds for a local organization over the holidays. Last year, JCSD raised $6,000 for the DEANA Foundation, a Jurupa Valley organization that provides financial relief for caregiving to families affected by dementia.
“After raising an impressive amount for the DEANA Foundation last year, it’s heartwarming to see our team surpass previous efforts for a worthy cause,” said Chris Berch, General Manager of JCSD. “Our employee’s generosity is just one of the many examples of their commitment to the community.”
The fundraising event is part of JCSD’s ongoing commitment to supporting the community and customers. Another example of this commitment is JCSD’s Customer Care Program, funded partly by JCSD employees, which offers monthly credits to low-income single-family residential customers who meet the program requirements.
The Mary S. Roberts Pet Adoption Center works to eliminate the suffering of homeless cats and dogs by providing humane care for pets in transition, facilitating adoptions to good homes, supporting pet overpopulation education, and supporting sterilization of companion animals.
