Jurupa Community Services District Celebrates Fifth Consecutive Distinguished Budget Presentation Award
Jurupa Valley, CA (May 15, 2024) – The Jurupa Community Services District (JCSD) has been awarded its fifth consecutive Distinguished Budget Presentation Award from the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) for the fiscal year 2023-2025 budget. This prestigious award underscores JCSD’s commitment to meeting the highest principles of governmental budgeting. JCSD’s Finance Department was recognized at Monday’s Board of Directors meeting.
To receive the Distinguished Budget Presentation Award, JCSD had to satisfy nationally recognized guidelines for effective budget presentation. These guidelines are designed to assess how well an entity’s budget serves as a policy document, financial plan, operations guide, and communications device. Budget documents must be rated “proficient” in all four categories and in the fourteen mandatory criteria within those categories to receive the award. This rigorous evaluation ensures that only budgets that exemplify best practices in governmental budgeting are honored, reflecting JCSD’s commitment to excellence.
