Jurupa Community Services District Hosts Inaugural Community Partners Committee Meeting

The meeting exemplifies JCSD’s commitment to collaboration and community.

Jurupa Valley, CA (January 28, 2022) – Jurupa Community Services District (JCSD) Parks and Recreation Department hosted the first meeting of its new collective called the Community Partners Committee (Committee). At yesterday’s inaugural meeting, over twenty public agencies, non-profit, service-based, and youth sports organizations participated.

“JCSD greatly values transparency and having a diverse group of voices around the table,” said Steve Lawson, Director of Parks and Recreation. “The new Community Partners Committee is a perfect example of how JCSD strives to put our words into action.”

This Committee will meet quarterly on the fourth Thursday of the month, effectively expanding the community’s input regarding parks, facilities, and services. The Committee aims to help organizations successfully serve the Eastvale community by creating and strengthening partnerships while providing updates on upcoming events, programs, services, and discussing ways community partners can join forces.

JCSD is constantly working to enhance collaboration through effective channels, especially when it increases the number of partners and community representation.
