Limonite Fire Updates 

6/24/26 at 3:15 p.m.

The fire is 95% contained at 89 acres, per Cal FIRE.

6/25/26 at 9:13 a.m.

The fire is now 80% contained. Firefighters remained on-scene overnight continuing mop-up efforts in heavy vegetation. Fire personnel remain on-scene strengthening containment lines, per Cal FIRE.

6/22/26 at 3:58 p.m.

The fire is now 20 acres and crews are making good progress, per Incident Command. All fixed wing aircraft have been released, per Air Attack. (Watch Duty) 

6/22/26 at 1:30 p.m.

JCSD personnel is onsite monitoring the fire, coordinating with Incident Command, and ensuring reliable water service to first responders.

6/22/26 at 1:14 p.m.

Fire activity has increased and the fire is spotting ahead of itself. An additional 5 engines, 2 crews, and 1 helicopter have been requested. Per Incident Command.
