Van Buren Marketplace – Traffic Impact
October 29, 2025Â
As part of the Van Buren Marketplace Project, the Jurupa Community Services District will temporarily take a water pipeline out of service on Rutile Street, from the intersection of Van Buren Boulevard and Rutile Street to Galena Street, Rutile Street, and Castlerock Road on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, between 7:00 AM and 4:00 PM. The water service will NOT be interrupted during this work.
Road Closures and Traffic Restrictions
· The entrance to Rutile Street from Van Buren Boulevard will be completely CLOSED.
· Drivers on Rutile Street (North of Van Buren) will only be allowed to make Left or Right turns onto Van Buren.
Resident Access & Detours
· Kingsbridge Lane Area residents: Please use Galena Street to detour west for access/exit.
· Woodbridge Lane Area residents: Please detour south via Rutile Street for access/exit.
· In general, residents in closed-off areas will need to access/exit from Bellegrave Avenue or Rutile Street (depending on your specific street).

Sewerline Repair on Galena near Pyrite

Temporary Shut-off & Repairs – Wells Spring Street (Eastvale)Â
October 16, 2025
JCSD personnel are working on Wells Spring St. in Eastvale to complete mainline repairs. Several customers will be temporarily off-water for up to two hours while the repairs are made. Affected customers will be notified prior to the water shutoff. Thank you in advance for your understanding.
Annual Waterline Replacement Project 44th St Area
April 2025 – December 2025
JCSD is committed to maintaining the quality of our water and sewer services. As part of our ongoing efforts, we are actively replacing aging water and sewer pipelines with new PVC pipelines. This proactive initiative will ensure reliable service and operational efficiency. Our Engineering and Operations team is utilizing historical data to identify the critical areas that require immediate attention, which will help us minimize potential service disruptions. Additionally, this project aligns with our conservation efforts by reducing water loss from leaks in older pipelines.

Eastvale Gateway Temporary Shut-offÂ

As part of the property owner’s work at Eastvale Gateway, JCSD has been requested to temporarily shut off water service to the business area. This planned interruption will be brief, and service will be restored as soon as the property owner’s work is complete.
Annual Sewer Repair and Replacement Project — Pyrite St / 60 Fwy Project
Summer 2025 – Winter 2026
Jurupa Community Services District (JCSD) is making important upgrades to the community’s sewer system as part of our Pyrite Sewer Renewal Project. This work will replace old and undersized sewer pipes, repair damaged infrastructure, and remove aging access points. Crews will also install larger pipes, reconnect existing service lines, and use trenchless methods to minimize surface disruption. Once completed, this project will improve sewer flow, reduce the risk of backups, and ensure a more reliable wastewater system for the future.
Important notes:
- The 60 Freeway Eastbound exit at Pyrite St will be temporarily closed on Tuesday, August 19, and Wednesday, August 20, during construction.
- Periodic temporary closures will be communicated to any affected residents within the area.Â
- Driveway access to residents in the construction zone will remain, except for short periods of time, while improvements are installed in front of the driveway.Â
- Work Hours: 7:30 A.M. to 4:30 P.M. Monday through Friday.
Water Shutdown and Lane Closure – Swan Lake Community/Hamner RoadÂ
June 12 – 13, 2025
As part of the Eastvale Square Project, the Swan Lake community in Eastvale will experience a temporary water service shutdown. The water will be turned off at approximately 9:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 12, 2025, and is expected to be restored by 6:00 a.m. on Friday, June 13, 2025.
During this time, southbound traffic on Hamner Road will be reduced to one lane to accommodate project work.
Sky Country Drive Between Lucretia Ave. and Jupiter Dr.Â
Ongoing Monitoring
On April 2, 2025, JCSD responded to localized asphalt settling on Sky Country Drive between Lucretia Ave and Jupiter Dr. because of a compromised joint in the water main. JCSD promptly identified and repaired the joint in the water main, which was immediately followed by restoring the public roadway.
Important Notes:
- Upon completion, JCSD will monitor the area over the coming months to ensure the issue has been resolved and to maintain safe and reliable service for customers.
- There is no risk to private properties or customers in the area, as this issue was isolated to the public roadway.
- JCSD has provided updates to affected customers and the City of Jurupa Valley.
- JCSD Public Affairs visited every impacted customer home to provide information and answer questions.
- Asphalt settling can be common symptom of some sort of leak in a pipeline.
- JCSD mailed an letter to all impacted customers regarding our response and continued monitoring.

Placed conveniently at your residence or business, these notices provide essential details such as the duration of the disruption and any necessary actions you should take. Door hangers ensure that even if you miss other forms of communication, you still receive the critical information.
In cases of urgent or impactful service disruptions, JCSD may make direct phone calls to affected customers. These calls are intended to provide you with timely and personalized updates, ensuring you are fully informed and prepared for any changes to your service.
When on-site at a service disruption, JCSD personnel directly engage with customers to provide updates and answer questions. This personal interaction ensures that affected residents and businesses receive immediate, accurate information and support. Our team is trained to address your concerns and help mitigate any inconvenience during these events.
