Bain Fire Updates 

5/22/26 at 3:19 p.m.

All Evacuation Orders and Warnings have been lifted for the Bain Fire.

Residents and those traveling through the area are encouraged to continue using caution. Crews will remain in the area over the next several days to ensure roadways and homes remain safe. Residents may continue to see or smell drift smoke in the area due to lingering activity. Personnel will also continue canvassing neighborhoods to support cleanup and ongoing safety efforts. 5/22/26 at 7:17 a.m.

The Bain Fire continues to impact portions of Jurupa Valley and Riverside. Fire activity remained minimal overnight and interior pockets of unburned fuel continue to smolder. Crews will remain engaged in monitoring these areas and mitigating any lingering hotspots as conditions permit. (Watch Duty) 

5/21/26 at 3:24 p.m.

Evacuation orders have been downgraded to evacuation warnings for the following zones:

JUR-0181-A, JUR-0180-A

In addition, evacuation warnings have been canceled and areas returned to normal status for the following zones:

JUR-0094-B, JUR-0095-B, JUR-0097-B, JUR-0098-B, JUR-0184, JUR-0185-B, JUR-0179-A, JUR-0179-B, JUR-0181-D, JUR-0176-A, RIV-0186-A, RIV-0306-A, RIV-0306, & NOR-0305-B.

Per CAL FIRE/Riverside County Fire Department on Facebook as of 3:00 PM.

These evacuation zones are viewable on the Watch Duty map or via the Genasys Evacuation Map.

5/20/26 at 7:30 p.m.

  • JCSD facilities within evacuation zones are active and operable.
  • There are no disruptions to JCSD’s water and wastewater services.
  • Personnel from the Operations Department and Public Affairs Department are actively monitoring the fire.
  • Evacuation zones are viewable on the Watch Duty map or via the Genasys Evacuation Map.

5/20/26 at 7:30 p.m.

All evacuation orders and warnings remain in effect.

A care and reception center has been established at Skyview Event Center located at 5257 Wineville Ave., Jurupa Valley, CA 91752. The center is available to assist evacuees with temporary shelter information, food, water, reunification assistance, and access to additional support services. Animal Services will also be on-site with mobile kennels to assist with any animal/pet needs.

Residents and travelers are urged to use extreme caution when traveling through the area, as firefighters remain actively engaged in full containment efforts along the roadways – all per the update from CAL FIRE Riverside on X.
