Jurupa Community Services District Celebrates Park and Recreation month

Park and Recreation Month began soon after the resounding success of JCSD’s Picnic in the Park Event

Jurupa Valley, CA (July 10, 2023) – The Jurupa Community Services District (JCSD) Board of Directors have proclaimed July as Park and Recreation Month. JCSD commemorates this special occasion by highlighting the significance of exceptional park services in enhancing the quality of life for the residents of Eastvale.

As part of the Park and Recreation Month celebration, JCSD recognizes the vital role that parks and recreation play in providing spaces for leisure, physical activity, social interaction, and community engagement. As Eastvale continues to enjoy the numerous recreational opportunities provided by JCSD, residents are encouraged to participate in the various events and programs available to them.

“JCSD’s dedication to enhancing the quality of life for our community is exemplified by our continuous efforts to provide award-winning park and recreational services,” said Steve Lawson, JCSD’s Director of Parks & Recreation. “We are proud to serve the Eastvale community with beautiful parks, enriching programming, and events that bring everyone together.”

An example of JCSD’s imprint on Eastvale is its Picnic in the Park event, which was held at Eastvale Community Park on Friday, June 23, through Sunday, June 25.

JCSD’s Picnic in the Park attracted over 20,000 enthusiastic guests, exceeding all expectations and solidifying the event as Eastvale’s most beloved community tradition. The event included an expanded selection of carnival rides, engaging games, and over 80 food and craft vendors. The event’s highlight was the firework show that illuminated the Eastvale sky for over fifteen minutes. The beautiful display, which was synchronized with a touching rendition of the national anthem, created a memorable moment that captivated the crowd.

“We are overjoyed to have witnessed a turnout of over 20,000 guests at JCSD’s annual Picnic in the Park event,” said JCSD Board President Lupe Nava. “This remarkable achievement is a testament to the strong bond between JCSD and the Eastvale community, bringing happiness, unity, and entertainment to our residents.”

Join JCSD in celebrating Park and Recreation Month by engaging with JCSD’s exceptional parks and recreation services.
