The 2020 “Water is Life” Student Art Contest has started. The theme this year is, “Water Conservation and Stewardship.”

This contest is part of The Metropolitan Water District of Southern California’s (MWD) Water Education Program that provides water education programs, supplemental materials, teacher in-services and classroom presentations for teachers and students from pre-K through college.

Interested students residing in or attending a school within the Jurupa Community Services District (JCSD), can submit their artwork through us for a chance to win our contest and be featured in MWD’s Annual Student Art Calendar.

Not only does this contest bring new awareness to water conservation, but it gives JCSD the opportunity to reward students and teachers. Three winning artists will receive a prize. Each winning artist, their artwork, and teacher will also be featured in an edition of JCSD’s Community Newsletter which is mailed to more than 28,000 JCSD customers.
