Jurupa Valley, CA (January 12, 2025)Jurupa Community Services District’s Parks and Recreation Department announces the grand reopening of the Harada Neighborhood Center today in Eastvale, California, following a state-of-the-art renovation that enhances recreation programs and events.

The renovation transforms the Harada Neighborhood Center into a modern, enduring space that will serve the community for years to come. Key improvements include new interior and exterior paint, new flooring that enhances safety and durability, remodeled restrooms, a refreshed reception area that offers a more welcoming and accessible check-in experience, and upgraded infrastructure throughout the building to support expanded programming and events.

“These upgrades reflect our commitment to providing high-quality, accessible spaces for Eastvale residents,” said Board President Anthony Herda. “The renovated Harada Neighborhood Center will serve as a vibrant gathering space, fostering meaningful connections and community events for years to come.”

Over the years, the center has hosted a diverse range of recreational and enrichment programs serving multiple age groups. The renovation will allow for expanded programming and enhanced use of the facility to support community activities, special events, and public reservations.

The JCSD Parks and Recreation Department is an industry leader, nationally accredited by the Commission for Accreditation of Park and Recreation Agencies and recognized for its premier programming. JCSD’s recently adopted Master Plan established an updated mission: “Community Through Connection,” which emphasizes creating welcoming community spaces that foster social interaction and help residents create lasting memories.

The renovated Harada Neighborhood Center is a 5,400-square-foot facility featuring four activity rooms, centrally located within Harada Heritage Park at the corner of 65th Street and Scholar Way. Since its original opening in 2012, the center has served as a hub for recreational programs, community events, and private reservations for Eastvale residents.
