Before & Afterschool Program

2021-2022 Kids Zone:

This program is offered at Clara Barton Elementary School, Rosa Parks Elementary School, Ronald Reagan Elementary School, Eastvale Elementary School, and Philistine Rondo School Of Discovery.  A full description of the program, guidelines, and a checklist are detailed in the JCSD Parent Handbook and include the following program schedule. JCSD’s award-winning and innovative Kids Zone  is a convenient, affordable, and safe recreation program for times when school is not in session for students in grades kindergarten through 6th grade.  The program provides a positive and healthy environment and includes varying activities such as:

  • Homework Time
  • Arts and Craft
  • Sports
  • Organized Games
  • Special Events
  • Supervised Free Play
  • And More!

 

Program Registration:

PLEASE NOTE: Children must be registered at least 48 hours (TWO FULL DAYS) prior to participation in order to attend the Kids Zone program. (For example, registration for Monday morning must be completed by Saturday prior to.)

 

Program Schedule:

Monday - Friday from 6:30am-6:00pm.

 

Kids Zone Required Forms:

Student Information Form  (Must be submitted prior to your child's first day of Kids Zone)

Policy for Administering Emergency Treatment - (for children with severe allergies and/or insulin dependent diabetes)*

* form must be completed by physician and submitted to JCSD prior to your child's first day of Kids Zone

 

Kids Zone Holidays:

Kids Zone is not in session during the following holidays or Inservice Dates:

  • All CNUSD Non-Student Days
  • Labor Day
  • CNUSD In-service Day (Non-Student Day) (See Staff for Details).
  • Veterans Day
  • Thanksgiving Holiday (Thursday & Friday)
  • Christmas Eve
  • Christmas Holiday
  • New Year’s Day
  • Winter Break
  • Martin Luther King Day
  • Lincoln Day
  • Presidents Day
  • Memorial Day
  • Independence Day

Program Fees

Daily registration is currently available for the Kids Zone program. Program fees are subject to change.
