Volunteer Program
There are two volunteer programs designed so that residents can become more involved in the community and enjoy a rewarding experience. As a JCSD volunteer or as a volunteer for a local Eastvale sports league
JCSD Volunteer Program
Volunteers represent an invaluable contribution to JCSD’s efforts to provide award-winning programs and services to the community. The Parks and Recreation Department has numerous volunteer opportunities for almost every area of interest, skill, and ability. Volunteers include individuals and schools, community and business groups. Please review the Volunteer Program Manual and flyer which lists different volunteer opportunities and the description for each type of volunteer duties. Below are just a few of the volunteer opportunities and minimum age requirements for each opportunity through the JCSD Parks and Recreation Program, and we are always open to new ideas:
- Project Volunteer (ages 16+)
- Homework Club Tutor/Kids Zone Program (ages 16+)
- Senior Mentoring Program (ages 50+)
- Special Events (ages 16+)
- Survey Volunteer (ages 16+)
- Tiny Tot Reading Program (ages 18+)

Complete and submit the JCSD Volunteer Application to the Parks and Recreation Department. Volunteer applicants who are 18 years old or older must complete a Background Check request.
Please allow for (5) business days for processing of the background screenings. Please visit the Neighborhood Center, 13099 65th Street, Eastvale or the Eastvale Community Center, 13820 Schleisman Road, Eastvale, to pick up your printed badge once (5) five business days has passed. Valid photo identification with date of birth is required at pick up.
Sports League Volunteer
Volunteers play a key role when coordinating and hosting safe and successful organized sporting league activities. In addition to the condition of athletic fields and facilities, it is important to ensure that volunteers are screened to ensure the safety of our community.
To volunteer for an organized sports league that is not coordinated through JCSD such as Eastvale Girls Softball Association, Eastvale Little League, Empire Soccer and other local leagues, please purchase a Background Check request.
Please allow for (5) business days for processing of the background screenings. You will not be contacted once your background screening has been complete. The California Penal Code Section 11105 allows public agencies such as JCSD to obtain State summary criminal background information from the Department of Justice. Please download Background Checks for Volunteers to view the JCSD Background Procedures.
Once the background check information is received, the results are reviewed by the Jurupa Community Services District Park Director or his/her designee. Summary information of the Background Check along with background check printouts highlighting any red flags are forwarded to the Jurupa Community Services District General Manager for further determination and processing.
