Engineering Department

The Engineering Department provides many of the basic services that affect the daily lives of those living within JCSD's service territory.  Engineering is responsible for the administration, planning, maintenance, construction management, and technical engineering of JCSD’s sewer and water systems. Components of the Engineering Department include Development Engineering and Capital Improvement Projects.

Development Engineering 

This division works closely with developers and contractors to assist or lead the development of projects within JCSD’s area.  The primary goal of the Development Engineering division is to meet the water, sewer and streetlight needs of the community through planning, design review, and inspections. 

Capital Improvement Projects 

Capital Improvement Projects include two types of expenses:  1) Strategic improvements to JCSD’s water and sewer systems, and 2) Projects designed to address important community needs.  View the most recent jobs for bid and awarded.
