Mosquito Spray Treatments

Post Date:05/07/2020 1:38 PM

Northwest Mosquito & Vector Control District will perform adult mosquito spray treatments on May 21st, 2020 to lower the mosquito population affecting recreational and residential areas along the Santa Ana River in the City of Eastvale. The spray application will be conducted between the hours of 2:00 am to 6:00 am at the following locations: the Riverwalk Park and bike trail located next to the Santa Ana River, Eastvale Community Park, and Granja Vista Wetlands.

This action is in response to elevated trap counts and proactively helps prevent diseases such as West Nile Virus.  (http://westnile.ca.gov/)  It is in the interest of public health and safety.  Posting notifications helps with awareness and transparency.  Signs were posted on May 19th, 2020 in the areas affected by their spray operations to inform the public of their activities.

Information regarding the treatment is posted on their website at www.northwestmvcd.org. If there are any questions or concerns, please contact the District at 951-340-9792.
