Public Agency Landscape (PAL) Program
Qualifying public agencies may participate in SoCal Water$mart's Public Agency Landscape (PAL) program, which offers incentives that are paid up-front to install water-efficient landscape devices. The program is set to run through June 30, 2016 or while funding is available.
What is considered a qualifying public agency?
In order to qualify for the PAL program you must be one of the following:
- City building
- County building
- School district
- Federal building
- State building
- Special district
How does the application work?
Agencies must first obtain a quote for their project before submitting their application to SoCal Water$mart. The quote should include a list of all the items including the makes, models, and quantities. Once the quote is ready, agencies may submit their application at www.socalwatersmart.com and wait for approval. Once approved, the agency will receive a check from SoCal Water$mart to purchase all the devices. After purchasing and installing all the devices, copies of the final invoices must be sent to SoCal Water$mart.
- Weather-Based Irrigation Controller - $70/station
- Central Computer Irrigation Controller - $55/station
- Soil Moisture Sensor Systems - $55/station
- Large Rotary Nozzles (minimum 8 sets of two per application) - $14/set
- Rotating Nozzles for pop-up spray heads (minimum 30 per application) - $3.50
Public agencies can also receive landscape irrigation audits at no cost.
